Despite being featured on hundreds of thousands of units, Bixby has to be one of Samsung’s least fashionable merchandise. The firm has appointed a brand new chief of the corporate’s AI efforts, Chung Eui-suk, and in just a few days Samsung will unveil the next main version of the digital assistant.

The main change in Bixby is that it’s going to help third-party providers and can broaden past smartphones. These issues will not be half of for the reason that crew ran out of time (even then they missed the launch of the Galaxy S8 within the US).

Anyway, going past telephones in all probability features a smart speaker and Bixby help for Samsung Smart TVs (the competing Google Assistant is already out there on Android TV).

The next revision of Bixby will be showcased on October 18 at Samsung’s Developer Conference.
