The Finnish company, HMD that has the license to produce the Nokia 8 phones just revealed it’s partnership with Zeiss earlier this month. Nokia used the Carl-Zeiss lens back in 2012 when Nokia had a very large share in the world market. It’s phones such as Nokia N86, N96, N95, N73, 5800 used the lens from the same company. Cameras are expected to be 13 megapixels and include Carl Zeiss optics.

One of the Nokia 8’s pictures were also leaked which is just the indication that Nokia has entered the 2017 smartphone’s era.
The Nokia 8 is also expected to feature:
- a 5.3-inch display (2560 x 1440)
- a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor
- 4GB or 6GB of RAM
- 64GB of storage, and dual-SIM models.
- Android 7.1.1 Nougat
- blue, silver and gold color
- Dual camera Zeiss-optics
- 3999mAh battery
- Sensors: Fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, heart rate
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot
Venture Beat and WinFuture both report that HMD will launch a Nokia 8 handset on July 31st at a price of €589 which would be a lot cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy s8 with almost same specs as of Nokia 8. Rumors claimed that Nokia would launch at least one more phone – something more high-end – dubbed the Nokia 8 or the Nokia 9 (or even both).
Past leaks propose that the Nokia 8 will sport a bezel-less design, a USB Type-C port and double speakers at the bottom edge of the cell phone. At the back, it will wear a thin vertical camera strip, or a double camera setup. The cell phone is additionally tipped to sport an iris scanner, be IP68 water safe, support dual SIM slots, and a unique fingerprint scanner also.
